Lead times:

All of our furniture is made to order. Our general lead time is 4-6 weeks from the date an order is received to when it is dispatched. Thereafter, delivery usually takes between 5-7 business days. Please note, lead times can be up to 8-10 weeks in peak season.

Wood finishes:

Please note that due to the handcrafted nature of our products and our use of solid woods and veneers, each piece is unique and may contain irregular qualities, such as natural markings, miniscule burrs, or slight discolorations. These natural characteristics, are inherent in wood, are not considered manufacturing defects and do not merit replacements.

Paint Finishes:

Over time, the paint finish of the furniture will settle and mellow, a process that will enhance the beauty of your furniture as it ages, and as a result new pieces may look a shade different to those you already have. This variation is normal and is not considered a paint defect, and the colour difference will diminish over a short period of time. Please be aware that furniture items that have been kept in storage and in wrapping for long periods of time will also have a tendency to discolour, as the paint cannot 'breathe', likewise, areas that have been concealed for an extended period of time by a lamp or vase or bed linen, for example, are likely to be a different shade than the surrounding areas. Please take care not to subject your furniture to extreme heat like radiators etc or steamy rooms as these factors could affect the paint finish.

Please note that actual paint colours may vary slightly from what is displayed online due to screen differences/printing processes.

Product Care and Maintenance:

Painted and Solid wood furniture should be wiped clean with a soft damp cloth. Never use a scourer, abrasives or chemical cleaners.  As with all furniture MDF and solid timbers can be damaged by knocks and scrapes. Solid wood furniture should be maintained regularly using a good quality protective furniture wax. Our maintenance products can be purchased online here. Delivery: between 5-7 business days.

Special delivery fees are calculated for each order as orders vary in size and volumetric weight. Additional charges also apply for outlying areas.

We use a third party, furniture removals company for our deliveries; therefore, all deliveries are only to a ground floor addresses.

For export customers, unless otherwise arranged, we will deliver to a depot within the South African borders and it would be your responsibility for the collection of those goods from the depot and cross border delivery to your store or depot in your home country.

Damages & Damaged Goods Policy:

Please report any damages or irregularities to the factory within 7 days of receiving the goods. JB Furniture Manufacturers will not accept responsibility for any damages reported after 7 days. Concerning deliveries by JB Furniture Manufacturers and/or our contracted third party delivery company, any goods damaged in transit from the factory to the store must be reported to the office within 7 days of receiving the goods. Once we have been notified, we will in turn notify our transporter who will collect the goods and return to us for repair.  Once the goods have been repaired, they will be returned to the store.

Returns and Refunds Policy

The wrong item has been delivered

If it is our fault and you have received the wrong item, we will arrange collection free of charge and make the necessary arrangements for the correct item to be delivered.

 

The item is faulty

We will arrange for replacement parts or you can return the item for an exchange or full refund. If collection is required there will be no charge.

 

You wish to cancel your order:

Before the goods are received:  You can cancel your order within 48 hours of placing the order, please notify us in writing (email acceptable) advising us of the order number and or invoice number relating to the order. Please also contact our customer services team on +27 (0)44 382 2790, to advise them of your cancellation. If payment has been made, a full refund will be issued up to 30 days from notification.

Once delivery has been made:  Please notify us in writing (email acceptable) within 7 working days after the day on which you received the goods, advising us of the order number and or invoice number relating to the order. A full refund will be given once the goods have been returned and checked for any damages. Please ensure all the items are packed in the original packaging and you take care to return the items to us in the condition you received them. If you would like us to collect larger items, a collection charge of 20% of the invoice value will be incurred. 

 

Regrettably, self-assembled items cannot be returned once assembly is part or fully completed unless the item is found to be faulty.

 

Please note that there will be no returns or refunds on CUSTOM designed items unless the item is faulty.

Before you return anything please liaise with our Customer Services Team so they will know to expect your return and issue a refund. They will also be able to advise you of the best way to return your item and confirm the return delivery address.

Refunds:

A refund will be issued once the goods are returned and checked in our factory. Refunds will be processed up to 30 days from receipt of goods (subject to the returns criteria being adhered to).
