Planning & Production
Having been exposed to the interior and furniture manufacturing industry for most his life, Russel chose to follow a career in that field and so achieved a diploma in Interior Design. After his studies he worked in London in the high-end corporate shopfitting and custom furniture manufacturing field for some time and then returned to South Africa to run a successful custom furniture business in both Johannesburg and Cape Town. After 10 Years of working with J&B Woodworking, Russel, in partnership with Kimberley, took ownership of the furniture business to form JB Furniture Manufacturers.
Russel is in charge of the planning and production of each project. His keen eye for detail ensures that most possible manufacturing challenges are dealt with efficiently.
Sales & Administration
After completing her Interior Design Diploma in Cape Town, Kimberley worked as a freelance Interior Designer. She joined J&B Woodworking in 2010 heading up design, liaising with clients and key industry representatives in the area. After 3 Years of working with J&B Woodworking, Kimberley, in partnership with Russel, took ownership of the furniture business to form JB Furniture Manufacturers.
Kimberley is in charge of sales, business administration and customer relations.
After completing his apprenticeship in 1986, and qualifying as a Cabinet Maker, Patrick started his career as a a tradesman in Cape Town. After 10 years in the Cape, Patrick moved back to his home town of Knysna and continued to work in the woodworking industry. In 1995 Patrick, with his aquired knowledge and skills, joined J&B Woodworking in a Supervisory position.
Now 19 years on, Patrick's expertise is an integral part of the JB Furniture manufacturing business and the high level of skill and woodworking knowledge that he has passed on to his production team is invaluable.
Willa Van Rooyen
With years of experience in the field of Office Administration, Willa joined the team in 2011. Willa is the welcoming face at the front door, the pleasant voice at the end of the line as well as handling in house communications, stock control and logistics.
Our Factory Staff
Ranging from skilled sanders through to qualified Cabinet Makers, Spraypainters and finishing department hands; both men and women of all ages, skills and levels of experience make up the JB Furniture Manufacturing team. Product specific skills training is done in-house under supervision of the Production Manager and our qualified Cabinet Makers, thus ensuring that the important woodworking knowledge required to keep the industry alive, is passed on to the next generation of employees.
